Which program is right for my team?
This depends on the group of people, professional/career goals, as well as job functions. For example, if your team needs to hone their sustainability skills, the BOMI-HP® credential would most likely be the solution.

Which class do I have to take first?
Courses do not need to be taken in any specific order. However, it is recommended that students start with a course subject they are familiar with and that directly pertains to their day-to-day function. BOMI International’s Education Coordinator Team offers excellent support to help you identify the best starting point.

How many days does a class run?
This depends on how you elect to take or schedule the class. Normally an in-person class will last 3-4 consecutive days. But, the class could also be taken using a semester schedule similar to Instructor-Led Online classes or a variation thereof. For example, a class could be once a week for 3-4 weeks or could be delivered in the evenings.

How long will it take my employees to complete a program?
The duration of a program depends on how often a course is taken and the course delivery option chosen. Please note: there is no time limit for completing a program; however, the sooner your employees complete a BOMI International program, the sooner they will be able to fully impact your business.

How long will it take my employees to complete a course?
Courses range from 24-30 hours, except for Ethics Is Good Business® ShortCourse™, which is six (6) hours. The actual time it takes to complete a course depends on the delivery option chosen:
  • Corporate Onsite (group education) and Semester-Length classes vary depending upon the course.
  • Live Virtual Learning courses consist of two, 4-hour live virtual sessions per week, for 4-6 weeks.
  • Accelerated Review courses generally run 3-4 days.
  • Instructor-Led Online courses are typically 15 weeks.
  • Online Self-Paced courses are to be completed within a six-month timeframe.
  • Self-Study courses are to be completed within a six-month timeframe.

Can an instructor come to my location, or do I have to go to another location?
Yes. Corporate Onsite/Group classes can be held at any location worldwide.

How quickly can BOMI International set up a Corporate Onsite/Group class?
BOMI International will set up a class for your company/organization within 30 days after signing a contract. The lead time is to ensure that all of the contracting, hiring of instructor, shipping, etc. are all completed to ensure a successful class.

What are the maximum and minimum number of people to a Corporate Onsite/Group class?
Teams of 10-20 students work best for creating an engaging and worthwhile classroom experience.

Practice and Final Exam
When should I take the practice exam?
You are encouraged to take the practice exam during orientation week as a pre-test to measure your pre-existing knowledge of the course content, and to target specific areas of content you may need to focus on. It is also a good idea to take the practice exam after the class experience to gauge what you have learned and where you need to continue to focus for final exam success.

Do I have to take the final exam?
Yes and no. Yes, if you want to get credit for the course and work towards a BOMI International credential. No, if you just want to refresh or gain knowledge about a certain subject material and earn a Certificate of Participation. Taking the final exam is helpful in either case to assess your knowledge on a given subject for growth opportunities.

How is the final exam proctored?
All course exams are proctored at an independent testing center in coordination with our testing partner, Pearson VUE.

What will the final exam look like?
Our courses offer three types of exams:
  1. The majority of our exams are 100 multiple-choice questions.
  2. Newer courses, such as Budgeting and Accounting and our three (3) High-Performance courses have a 50 multiple-choice exam focused on workplace scenarios.
  3. Ethics Is Good Business® ShortCourse™ is a 30 multiple-choice exam and can be completed online through BOMI International's Learning Portal.

When do I have to take the exam?
You are required to take the final exam six (6) months from the time you register for your course. For example, let’s say you registered for a course on January 10. You would have until June 10 to take the exam without any additional fees.

The retake fee is for an additional extension from the first six (6) months where that fee was already included in your overall course payment. See our Price Sheet for testing fee information.

What happens if I fail the exam?
You will have the opportunity to try again, but will need to pay an Exam Administration fee for another six (6) month extension to give you time to prepare to retake the exam. See our Price Sheet for administration fee information.

Who should I contact with additional questions?
