Sheltering in Place

The aftermath of recent disasters like the London bombings and Hurricane Katrina has made it clear that sheltering in place plans are critical–even for those not directly affected by an incident. Shelter-in-place programs allow building occupants to remain inside a building for increased safety and security for a given period of time, and ingress and egress are controlled. This seminar will outline the key components of a shelter-in-place plan for commercial real estate owners and share lessons learned from property managers who established extended shelters following Hurricane Katrina.
