BOMI International

Rated the Best!

No other education provider in the industry offers a curriculum that meets as many of the 232 core competencies (identified by the FBPTA) that building and facility personnel need to perform key job functions and operate high-performance buildings.

Key job functions include: facilities operations and management, facilities maintenance and engineering, technology, energy management, safety, design, sustainability, water efficiency, project management, business, budget and contracting, leadership and innovation, and performance measures.

In accordance with the FBPTA, the United States General Services Administration (GSA) has worked with industry representatives to develop the core competencies (knowledge, skills, and abilities) building and facility personnel need to perform their job effectively, as well as a matrix that maps the competencies to recognized industry providers of courses, certifications, degrees, licenses, and registrations that exhibit these competencies.
